Today, I reflected on how overthinking can lead to disobedience. The story of Naaman, a man with a severe skin disease, resonated with me.
When God instructed him to wash in the Jordan River seven times to be healed, Naaman was upset because he expected a more dramatic solution. He overthought and belittled God's plan, thinking it was too simple.

I realize I can fall into the same trap, questioning God's ways and thinking they don't make sense. This story is a reminder for me to trust in God's ways, even when they seem ordinary or unconventional.
Reflecting on Naaman's story, I'm reminded that God's ways can be beyond my understanding. Yet, obedience is key, even when it doesn't make sense. The story of the walls of Jericho coming down after being circled and shouted at is a powerful reminder of this.
To overcome challenges, I need to:
- Focus on obedience,
- Trust in God's strategy,
- Not be discouraged by what seems impossible. The words of God that comforts my discourage soul:
Philippians 4:13 (GNT) I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.Prayer: Father in heaven, I'm praying for the ability to trust and obey Your guidance, whether it requires waiting or taking action. Help me, Lord, to keep my eyes on You and not be swept away by doubts and fears. I want to live by faith in Your strength and power, not by what I see. Thank You for guiding me and being with me always. Amen.
2 Cor 5:7 (AMP) for we [mention each own's name] walk by faith, not by sight [living our [mention each own's name] lives in a manner consistent with our [mention each own's name] confident belief in God’s promises]—
